Dom Ward is a Senior Project Officer at Involve who works within both the Innovation and Practice function and the Capacity Building and Standards function. He designs, delivers and manages a range of projects which demonstrate best practice for deliberative and participatory engagement as well as delivering training on the skills, structures and cultures needed for effective public participation in decision-making.

Since joining Involve in 2017, Dom’s work has included projects such as the Local Climate Engagement programme, multiple climate assemblies such as in Southampton and Devon, leading on public panels with numerous energy infrastructure providers, UKRI’s Sciencewise programme and exploring lived experiences of in-work poverty to co-create solutions. He is also a skilled facilitator, having worked on some of Involve’s most high-profile projects such as Climate Assembly UK.

He holds a BA (International) in Politics from the University of Leeds where he developed a passion for improving the quality of democracy after studying the lack of agency and power which many people feel over their lives, communities and country. In his spare time Dom can be found running in the Sussex Downs, learning Spanish or talking to anyone who will listen about Leeds United Football Club.
