Fionnuala spent five years as a consultant specialising in public and community engagement at Traverse, a social research and engagement organisation.

While there she managed the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects including national infrastructure consultations, citizen dialogues and stakeholder engagement programmes. She later moved to the voluntary sector where she currently applies her engagement and research expertise as a researcher for Transform Justice, a national charity which identifies and advocates for policy and practice changes in the criminal justice system. As a freelancer, Fionnuala continues to apply her facilitation, analysis and reporting skills to projects on topics ranging from climate change to fuel poverty.
